Accessibility

Affordable Home Insurance is built to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, and readable color contrast. We aim at WCAG 2.2 AA practices on public pages.

Our approach

Public pages use semantic HTML, visible focus styles, skip-to-content links, labeled form controls, and sufficient text contrast on slate and amber surfaces. Interactive controls meet a minimum 44×44 CSS-pixel target where practical.

WCAG 2.2 AA

We design and generate pages with WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria in mind — including focus appearance, target size, and consistent navigation — while recognizing that accessibility is ongoing work as content grows.

  • Skip link to main content on every page.
  • Mobile navigation that announces expanded/collapsed state.
  • Color combinations checked for contrast on body text, buttons, and footer links.
  • Form labels, required indicators, and live status messages on the quote form.

Known limits

City inventory pages are large link lists; letter jump links help keyboard users. If a page is hard to use with assistive technology, tell us through the quote form and note that it is an accessibility request.

Feedback

Use the quote form for accessibility feedback related to affordablehomeinsurance.co. We continue to improve contrast, keyboard order, and screen-reader wording as we find issues.
